The Tudors
Timeline

It is at this point that we start counting forwards instead of backwards. However there was no year 0. This has actually caused a few misunderstandings and we may have celebrated some things at the wrong time. For example, a century is 100 years. That means the first century ended in year 100AD. Following on from that, a millenium is 1,000 years. so the first millenium finished in the year 1,000AD and the second one started in 1,001AD. Unfortunately, nearly everyone celebrated the latest new millenium at the start of 2,000AD, mathematically one year early. Oh well.
