We want you to send us a photograph of a place in England but the photograph must have been taken before 1970, if possible even earlier. Therefore, anyone who has such a photograph, can do this.

Rules:
Rules

  • Open to anyone in the world.

  • You must have permission from your parent or guardian to enter if you are not an adult.

  • As we said, the photograph must be of a place in England

  • It must have been taken before 1970, the earlier the better

  • It must be a photograph that belongs to someone in your family, probably an older relative.

  • Check out when it was taken and where it was taken. Do this is as accurately as possible.

  • You will then need to scan the photograph

Prize:

During our 2026-27 journey through England, for each area we visit, all 51 of them, we will try and re-create one of the photos you send in. If we don't have any photos for a particular area, we may try to use some library pictures instead but we would far rather the pictures came from you and your relations.

On the day we go out to recreate the photo, we will invite you and your family to come and meet with us for the photoshoot and then take you and your family out for a lunch. This will be on a Sunday. We will meet the cost of your lunch to a maximum of 4 people. If there are more in your family, they can join us but you, or they, would have to meet the cost of their meal. The number for lunch would be a maximum of 8.
