This video originally appeared as part of our School of the Air daily videos in 2025. It makes use of material we have previously recorded about this period. It first explains the importance of imagination in learning about history (curiosity and creativity are pretty useful too), then it goes through the main points that can be found in the other sections, mainly timeline and hoots, and then gives our followers something to do, make or experience that will put them in this period of history. We finish with a none-too-serious view of how mistaken people can be. Molly needs us to re-write history.

Many women at this time wore a wimple as head covering and we show you how easy it is to make one. We also look at how meat was cooked on a spit and make a simple one of these.
