Fifteen hundred years of history and community living became normal. People had special jobs and villages sprang up where everything was shared.

However villages would have leaders and these leaders would want to own more to show their status and power. Whole communities would fight each other. Tribal warfare had begun.


At the start of this period of history, the estimated population of England (to the nearest ten thousand) was 220,000 or 55,500 houses on our strange method, explained in the Mesolithic Age introduction.
