Timeline

In 1420 Henry finally signed a treaty with the King of France, Charles VI. It was called the Treaty of Troyes. Under this treaty, Henry would become regent of France until the death of Charles and then he would become King. Unfortunately Charles suffered bouts of insanity and this was why he needed a regent. Furthermore, Henry would marry Charles’ daughter, Catherine.

All seemed sorted except not many people in France agreed with the treaty Charles had signed. Henry at first came back to England with his new wife and shortly after they had a son who they called ……………………Henry. This son would eventually become King of England and France

But in 1421, Henry went back to France as some French nobles were ignoring the Treaty and still fighting. Bad move Henry.
