The Federated States of Micronesia are a group of some 600 islands which form one country in Oceania. Together with 4 other countries they form an island group known as Micronesia.
The Federated States of Micronesia are in the Pacific Ocean.
The islands vary enormously from high mountains to low coral atolls.

The flag of the Federated States of Micronesia
is light blue with four white stars in the centre. The stars are arranged in a diamond pattern and represent the four island groups who set up the federation.
