Myanmar is a large country in the south east of mainland Asia. It is also known as Burma.
Myanmar has a border on the Andaman Sea and The Bay of Bengal.
The land is a combination of central lowlands ringed by steep, rugged hughlandsmixture of mountains and plains.

stripes of yellow, at the top, then green and red. In the middle of the green stripe is a white 5-pointed star that slightly extends into the other two stripes.

To be a citizen of Myanmar, both of your parents must be citizens of Myanmar. It is not sufficient to be born in Myanmar. You have to be the child or
spouse of a citizen to apply for citizenship.
