The Senegalese flag is three equal vertical stripes of green, at the top, yellow and red with a small green five-pointed star in the centre of the yellow stripe.
Green represents Islam, progress and hope while yellow signifies natural wealth and progress. Red is for sacrifice and determination and the star denotes unity
and hope.
