Do you know the story about King Arthur and
his knights of the round table? I am sure you could find a book about it somewhere. There wasn’t a real King Arthur. It is only a story but it would have
happened about this time. In fact there was a man called Ambrosius who led an English army against the Saxons. This was the last great victory by a Romano-British
leader.
Some people think that he was later written about as King Arthur or at least that legend was based on him. Sadly, despite all the programmes on TV,
the films etc, King Arthur, Merlin, Lancelot, Lady Guinevere
and the rest of the round table knights are no more real than many other TV programmes on a Saturday night. The only difference being that Arthur may have had
some truth about it.
